Reunited and it feels so good! I was so happy to spend Memorial Day weekend with Victoria and my friends from Labeling Men. I haven't seen them in so long. Having friends and family on the opposite coast is definitely a struggle. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing or fun weekend. Plus, it's so motivational to connect with fellow bloggers!
As a bunch of Real Housewives fans, we had to start the weekend off at Lisa Vanderpump's sexy new restaurant Pump. Boys town meets the secret garden at this spectacularly designed restaurant. I mean really, Lisa, you outdid yourself. As a celebrity-owned establishment, I didn't have high expectations for the food or service, but I was quickly proven wrong. The waitstaff was very attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. I ordered the dover sole and ate every last bite. We even had a (not so) surprise celebrity spotting, as Lisa and Ken sat next to us for the second half of our meal.
On Sunday, we checked out SIXTY Beverly Hills' rooftop pool- indulging in watermelon margaritas and some good old fashioned fried food. It's a quiet spot, so if a "pool party" is what you're looking for, I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, it was incredible relaxing and the food was great. It was just what I needed to recover from the previous late night out,.
If you're in Cali, you must explore the great outdoors. California is known for it's beautiful beaches and hiking trails. We hit up Runyon Canyon one morning and spent time relaxing on Manhattan beach the next. Runyon Canyon is no joke, so pack your sneakers and bring a bottled water. If you've ever spent 30+ minutes on the stair-master, you'll know what to expect.
