Fall Cocktail Menu

Most foodies know the benefits of cooking with seasonal flavors: you reap the most nutritional value out of your produce and the prices also tend to be cheaper. Aside from that, there is no better way to embrace the essence of Autumn than to devour comforting, spicy flavors like cinnamon, apples, pumpkin, or sage. You don't have to stick to cuisine as rum compliments these flavors deliciously. Courtesy of Zacapa Rum, here are some scary good cocktail recipes to add to your fall mixology menu:

Sherry Merry Punch

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Zacapa Rum
  • 1/4 cup Pinot Noir
  • 1 1/2 cups Amontillado Sherry
  • 1 chilled 750ML Bottle Sparkling Wine
  • 1 cup Well-Chilled Sparkling Water
  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 cup Honey

Preparation:

  1. Combine fresh lemon juice and honey into large punch bowl or pitcher and stir until honey dissolves.
  2. Add in Zacapa Rum 23, pinot noir, Amontillado sherry, sparkling wine and club soda and stir gently until blended.
  3. Add in ice and garnish with Fruit.
  4. Pour into punch glasses.

 

Vines & Fallen Leaves Punch

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups Zacapa Rum
  • 1/4 cup Orange Liqueur
  • 1 chilled Cup Riesling
  • 1 cup Well-Chilled Sparkling Water
  • Sparkling Wine
  • 1/4 cup Pumpkin Spice Syrup
  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Fresh Sage and Cinnamon for Garnish

Preparation:

  1. Combine fresh lemon juice and pumpkin spice syrup into large punch bowl or pitcher and stir.
  2. Add in Zacapa Rum 23, Orange Liqueur, riesling and sparkling water and stir gently until blended. Add Ice.
  3. Strain into punch glasses.
  4. Garnish with fresh sage and cinnamon.

Autumnal Arrival Punch

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups Zacapa Rum 23
  • 2 cups Cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • 8 Orange Slices and 8 Cinnamon Sticks frozen in Ice Cube for Garnish

Preparation:

 

  1. Combine Zacapa Rum 23, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, maple syrup and grated nutmeg mixing glass and stir.
  2. Strain contents into rocks glass over fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with orange slice and cinnamon stick frozen in ice cube

Ideal Serving Glass: Rocks Glass


 

Zacapalypse

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 oz ZACAPA™ 23 Rum
  • 1/3 oz MYERS’S™ Dark Rum
  • 1/3 oz CAPTAIN MORGAN™ Grapefruit Rum
  • 1/3 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/4 oz Don’s Mix (2 parts grapefruit juice to 1 part cinnamon simple syrup, or purchase premade!)
  • 1/4 oz Passionfruit Puree
  • 1 tsp Absinthe
  • 1 dash Aromatic Bitters
  • Orange slice for Garnish

 

Preparation:

  1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker
  2. Pour into glass over fresh ice
  3. Garnish with an orange slice
