Fall is my favorite time of year, which is mostly due to the wardrobe. I can’t get enough of scarves, boots, and cozy sweaters. And as a woman who likes to remain neutral, the color scheme is all me.
Here are some classic fall essentials to consider, but do me a favor: don’t wear them all together. Burgundy + burgundy + chocolate + chocolate does not a fashionista make.
Because a cute, cuddly sweater is totally necessary for the changing of season.
Peplum is very “in” right now, and is flattering to most shapes. It fits and flares, and can easily be layered under a cute jacket.
When the weather really starts to bite, get yourself a cozy faux fur vest. Emphasis on the faux. It adds instant glamour to almost any outfit.
Chestnut brown leather jacket. Put this on, sip on a pumpkin spiced latte, and breathe in the crisp cool air.
Colored skinny jeans aren’t just great for summer. Slip into a darker shade of burgundy or forrest green and pair with neutrals.
Western inspired ankle booties….
…or equestrian inspired lace-up boots? Touch decision. May have to get both.
Stray from the classic combo of red and animal print and stick to Hermès orange and leopard. This Tory Burch scarf is making me drool.
Swap out your strawberry pout for something more romantic. Deep berry hues are dramatic and sexy.
…and don’t forget the nails. Let go of coral and say hello to merlot!
