#OOTD: First Snow Storm of 2012

Brr! Can you believe this time last month we were walking around in tee-shirts and flippers? It’s crazy how fast the seasons change here in New York City, and it seems that Sandy brought in the cold weather along with all the wind and rain.

You may have already picked up that I have a small affinity for colored jeans, and I love the way they look with denim shirts. With the temperature drop, I couldn’t help but dial up the prep and add a neutral knitted sweater.

Today I’m wearing olive trousers from Zara, a denim collared shirt from Levi’s, beige knitted sweater from the Gap, Michael Kors watch and Marc by Marc Jacobs jewelry. I also threw on some fun printed  cashmere socks and some Fuggs, Uggs. To be frank, I hate Uggs. They were okay when first introduced, but now they are just played out and, well, fugly. I’m wearing them for one reason, and one reason only: It’s cold out. In fact, it’s snowing.

I always compliment colored jeans with neutral accesories. Browns and beige are the most organic, in my opinion. They’re also pretty fool proof.

Enjoy the change of season, everyone! It seems that Fall has come and gone, and winter is almost upon us. Really… where does the time go?
