“Yes Please” Elderflower Martini

posted in: Beverages, Recipes | 0

I’ve been a vodka/soda girl for quite some time now- mostly due to the caloric content of the beverage. Lately, I’ve been craving something a little more interesting, and have started experimenting with different liquors and spirits. Perhaps it’s because I’m getting older, and the idea of a Good Stiff Drink revolves more around enjoyment and relaxation than just getting hammered.

A friend made recently introduced me to Gin and after many tastings ahem I’ve found out I prefer Hendricks. Not the cheapest option but in my humble opinion, it’s the best. He created a martini with St. Germain (elderflower liquor), Hendricks gin, Grey Goose vodka, lime juice & club soda. It’s got a kick, but it’s refreshing and earthy. It’s not sweet. It’s for adults and you’ll probably only need just one. Check out the recipe here:

What You’ll Need:

.75 oz. Grey Goose Vodka

.75 oz Hendricks Gin

1.5 oz. St. Germain

1.5 oz. Fresh Lime Juice

Step 1:

Pour vodka, gin, and St. Germain, lime juice into a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Shake “until it hurts,” which means shake it until your hand feels frozen.

Step 2:

Pour into a sassy martini glass and top with club soda. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Step 3:

Sit on the deck & enjoy.
